Smart Home: Wired vs Wireless?

Wired System (e.g. KNX) - Ultimate Reliability
Cabled systems require laying special control wires (bus lines) alongside standard electrical cables. For this reason, it is best to plan them during the raw building phase.
Pros: Complete lack of radio interference, instant response time, massive lifespan (estimated 30+ years) and independence from your home Wi-Fi network. KNX is an open standard supported by over 500 manufacturers.
Wireless System - Easy assembly in existing homes
Radio systems use wave frequencies to communicate between sensors and the central hub. Modules are mounted inside wall boxes behind switches or wirelessly.
Pros: No need to hack walls, possibility of installation in finished apartments, and lower entry costs. Cons include risks of signal interference, regular battery swaps in sensors, and lower stability in larger houses.
